What a find! My bestie and I took a trip to Austin and were looking for some seafood. The portion sizes were plentiful. I couldn’t even finish my burger. The lobster chili butter compound- wonderful. Espresso over Ice Cream ? Yes please. The experience was so welcoming and the surveyor was attentive. 10/10 would eat there again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My daughter and I stopped by for Happy Hour, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we had found a special place. We were greeted immediately with genuine smiles, and every member of the staff was attentive, welcoming, and friendly. That level of hospitality is becoming rare these days, and it truly made us feel valued as guests. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible! The highlight of our meal was the mussels, which we actually ordered by accident. It turned out to be the best accident ever! The mussels were incredibly fresh, and the broth was so flavorful that we couldn’t stop dipping our bread into it. It was simply unforgettable. The oysters were exceptionally fresh and delicious, and the fish fillet sandwich was perfection. Without exaggeration, it was the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served on a fresh bun with all the right toppings. Everything about our experience exceeded our expectations. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but the overall experience was just average. The tuna tartare was the standout dish- fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. However, the hamburger was a letdown; it was dry and lacked the expected taste. Considering the price we paid, I felt underwhelmed. The food wasn’t bad, but it didn’t live up to the value or quality I had anticipated at this price point.

We had an amazing dining experience at Fish Shop! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The branzino was perfectly cooked with a crisp exterior and tender, flaky fish. The lobster toast was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor, while the oysters were incredibly fresh and a great way to start the meal. To drink, we enjoyed a dressed Bloody Maria and a glass of Sancerre wine, both of which paired wonderfully with the seafood. The Bloody Maria was creative and refreshing, and the wine selection complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was attentive, and every dish exceeded our expectations. Fish Shop is a fantastic addition to Austin's dining scene, and we'll definitely be back for another date night. Highly recommend!

Heard mixed reviews, but wanted to try for ourselves…found everything pretty delicious and only lobster toast disappointing, mostly because of the size/price. It feels like prices are baked into you using InKind, which makes it a bit more palatable. We sat outside, which was a better experience than I expected being on a busy street and service out there was great. Caesar and fish and chips were the super highlights. Their own tartar sauce for the shrimp - yum! Sourdough with lobster butter is also a must. Will be back and would be interesting to go for their happy hour and sit at the bar to maximize the atmosphere.
